Nantgaredig 14 - Burry Port 21

Burry Port consolidated their position on top of Division 3B West with a convincing display at Nantgaredig by scoring 3 tries to the home side's single try. Nantgaredig started the stronger of the two sides with a dominant scrum which created all kinds of problems for the visitors. In the first quarter of the game the referee awarded Nantgaredig three penalties against Burry Port and issued a yellow card for various infringements. Meirion Davies duly obliged to give the home side a 9-0 lead.

The referee stamped his authority on the game by giving a firm lecture to players both on and off the field. It was Burry Port who then took the initiative by first scoring a try as a result of a lineout and rolling maul. The second try was scored on 45 minutes when the ball was moved along the backs for centre Duane Evans to score and take a half time lead of 9-10.

Having gained the upper hand, Burry Port steadily gained further momentum in the second half. Even though their scrum was under pressure their number 8 Dylan Evans worked well to secure the ball and gain valuable ground. Nantgaredig scrum half George Gleeson received a yellow card for a high tackle and the visitors used the man advantage for wing Luke Rudall to score in the corner. Nantgaredig managed to claw their way back into the match when outside half Davies manufactured a delicate kick over the defence for Rhys Schiavone to cross the line for 5 points.

Burry Port scrum half Ben Williams kicked two penalties to give the final score 14-21 to the visitors.
