Nantgaredig moved into third place in Division 3B West with this away win at Trimsaran. With uncontested scrums from the start it encouraged both sides to run the ball at every opportunity and Nant soon had the first try on the scoreboard through scrum half George Gleeson. Club captain Bleddyn Lewis who was playing in his 200th game for Nantgaredig followed up with a second try to give a half time lead of 5-14.
The second half saw two further tries for the away team scored by second row forward Carwyn Davies and wing Gethin Davies. With the score at 12-26 it provided an opportunity for the Nant coaching staff to rest players who have played a number of games on weekends and mid week during April.
Trimsaran fought back into the match scoring two tries and a conversion to bring the score within touching distance of winning the game at 24-26. A late try by Bleddyn Lewis and conversion by outside half Meirion Davies secured a bonus point win for Nantgaredig.
