Y Polyn is a small pub/restaurant tucked away in the verdant Towy valley between the county town of Carmarthen and chic Llandeilo.

We're open six days a week, for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday and for lunch only on Sundays. We’re not trying to be cutting edge or post-modern here. You won’t find foams, gels and technical wizardry on the plate. What you will find is beautiful produce cooked simply and with respect. Saltmarsh lamb, Welsh beef and free range, rare breed pork are highlights of the well balanced menu. We’re very keen to avoid pretention at Y Polyn. Tables are mismatching bare wood, tablecloths are banished, staff wear jeans and you get to pour your own wine.
